NLIS Electronic MET Tag for Cattle
If you are ordering MET tags and are located in South Australia, Queensland or Victoria, please call Shearwell Australia on 1800 998 934 to place your order. Our opening hours are Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm (AEST).
- South Australia - an additional $1.50 per tag will be included in the cost of the MET tags. This is a levy collected by Shearwell on behalf of the SA Cattle Industry Fund (which is not subject to GST).
- Queensland - producers need to provide a QLD DPI endorsed ‘Application for permanent NLIS devices’ pursuant to Biosecurity Act 2014 with their order.
- Victoria - producers will need to apply for authorisation to purchase the MET tag and in doing so pay a $10 fee to DEECA for them to process the application. Once DEECA has provided the customer with authorisation, the customer provides it to Shearwell before we can fill the order. The application form is available here
